M.D. & Ph.D., Professor of Psychiatry and Vice president of Shanghai Mental Health Center, Shanghai Jiaotong University, China. She is the vice president of Chinese Association on Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment (CDAPT) since 2013. She was a 2001-2002 NIDA/INVEST fellow and was awarded with Distinguished International Scientist Collaboration Awards (DISCA) in 2005. As a researcher, lecturer/mentor, psychiatrist, she has been worked in clinical, teaching and research in drug abuse field since 1994, with more than 160 publications and 40 book chapters. Dr. Zhao has worked as PI for more than 10 national and international research projects and she was the focal point in China in the UNODC Treatnet project. Her research is focus on translational research for drug addiction, specially intrested in biomarkers of diagonosis and prognosis prediction and novel interventions for drug addtion. She is actively involved in international collaboration as experts in UNODC informal scientific network. She worked on ICD-11 revision as a member of international Advisory Group and Field Study Coordination Group (FSCG) since 2013. She has been awarded as NIH/NIDA distiguished international collaboation award, Wuzhou women's science and Technology Award, and several other awards in Shanghai.
